BOARD & TRAIN
A Unique Trainging Immersive
In my 4 or 6 Week In-Home Board & Train Programs your pup will get personalized, professional training while they stay comfortably in my home. No lonely, unstaffed overnights here! I will train and care for your dog as one of my own, for the duration of their stay with me.
Key features of this program include:
Customized Training Plan: We start with an evaluation of your dog’s current behavior to create a training plan that fits their specific challenges and goals.
In-Home Attention: Training takes place in my home, reducing stress for you and your dog, and allowing us to work on real-life scenarios directly where they happen.
Daily Progress Videos: Watch your dog progress every day with videos I will record of their sessions and upload to a private chat where I include written or voice-over explanations of the training.
Ongoing Owner Support: This program includes 4 private follow-up sessions designed to ensure everything your dog learned transfers to you and your daily life.
FAQs about the board & train experience
-
Your dog will sleep safely crated indoors, right here in my home with me. The crate provides a secure and cozy environment where your dog can relax and recharge after a full day of training, play, and structured downtime. Crating not only keeps your pup safe—it also helps reinforce healthy routines, encourages calm behavior, and supports house training when needed.
Your dog will be treated like one of my own while they’re here, and their physical and emotional well-being is always my top priority—even at bedtime.

To keep your dog’s routine consistent and their stomach happy, you’ll provide their regular food for the duration of their stay. Whether your dog is on kibble, raw, or a special diet, I can accommodate their needs—just let me know the details and I’ll make sure everything stays on track.
I also use food rewards as part of the training process, which are included in the cost of the program. These treats are carefully selected with your dog’s allergies and health concerns in mind, so I can motivate and reward your dog safely and effectively.

No. While your dog may see or be around other dogs during training, they won’t be playing or socializing with them. My focus during the Board and Train program is on building value for the handler—that means teaching your dog to stay engaged with you, even when other dogs are nearby.
Other dogs are used as part of distraction training to help your dog learn to remain calm, focused, and responsive in real-world situations. This approach helps prevent common issues like leash reactivity, overexcitement, or ignoring commands around other dogs, setting your pup up for long-term success in everyday life.

Yes—while your dog is with me, you'll receive regular progress videos each week so you can see exactly how they’re doing and what they’re learning. These updates let you follow their journey and celebrate each milestone from home.
However, in-person visits are not part of the program. To make the most progress in the shortest amount of time, it’s important that I maintain a consistent working relationship with your dog during their stay. Limiting in-person interaction allows your dog to fully focus on the training process without emotional setbacks or confusion. Once training is complete, I’ll work closely with you to ensure a smooth and successful transition back home.
